We are the Utah Junior Grizzlies Bantam Select Hockey team. Our goal is to raise money to help offset the costs of travel to attend and represent Utah at the USA Hockey National Tournament
In February, the Junior Grizzlies Bantam Select (U14) won the Utah Tier II State Championship. As state champions they are invited to represent Utah at the USA Hockey National Tournament. The tournament this year is being hosted in Charolette, North Carolina April 3-7. As you can imagine, the cost to attend this tournament is high as it is a long distance to travel. Again, the team is looking to raise funds to offset the costs of travel to attend this tournament.
The athletes that make up this team are extremely dedicated and passionate about their sport. They practice, and train extenslvely year round. The parents of these athletes sacrafice signicant amounts of time and money to provide the opportunity for these athletes to persue their dream.
The Utah Junior Grizzlies or (WMAHA) is a non profit youth hockey organization. They strive to accomplish their goals through the hard work of their volunteer coaches and staff. These individuals provide countless hours of planning, training, and giving direction to the players and their parents. WMAHA takes pride in their players and in the positive relationships they enjoy being part of a team. They are building lifetime experiences and lifetime skills.
Participation in youth hockey at the tier level is an expensive proposition for participants and their families. The expenses for equipment, ice rental, and travel costs add up. The Jr Grizzlies Bantam Selects earned the privilage to compete on the national stage in North Carolina. The families of these players are looking for help in offsetting the cost of airline tickets, hotel, van and car rentals.
Our group is comprised of players, parents, coaches, and volunteer board members.
